Ace of Wands upright

A hand reaches out of a cloud holding a single sprouting branch. Pure spark, before anyone has shaped it into a plan. A new burst of creative energy or opportunity is available to you right now, and it wants to be acted on while it's fresh. This isn't the moment for a five-year plan; it's the moment to just start, and let the shape reveal itself as you go. Whatever's been exciting you lately deserves more than a passing thought. It deserves a first step.

Something has caught, and you can feel it. The specific restlessness that shows up right before you start something. This is raw potential rather than a plan, and it's worth protecting at exactly this stage, before anyone gets to weigh in on whether it's realistic. Don't wait for the idea to be fully formed before you act on any part of it; sparks go out when they're left alone too long. Do the smallest possible version of it this week.

Ace of Wands reversed

A spark that keeps almost catching. Inspiration arrives, then stalls before it becomes anything. It can mean creative energy with nowhere to go yet, or a good idea you're sitting on out of fear it isn't good enough. Sometimes it's simpler: burnout from a start that was rushed, or a delay that has nothing to do with the idea's quality. Give it air. It catches or it doesn't, but it can't do either in a drawer.

The energy is there but it isn't landing anywhere. Starting and stalling, repeatedly, on the same thing. This often means the idea is fine and the timing or the conditions aren't; that's a different problem from a bad idea. It can also mean the spark is being talked out of existence, either by you or by someone whose opinion you've given too much weight. Protect it a little longer before you show it to anyone else.
