Ten of Wands upright
Someone bent nearly double under all ten staves, when a few of them could be set down or handed off. You've taken on more than your share, likely because you're capable and it seemed easier than asking. The finish line is close — this is real, valuable work, not a burden without a purpose — but that doesn't mean you have to carry every piece of it alone. Worth asking honestly what could be delegated, delayed, or simply dropped.
You're carrying more than one person should be carrying, and you've stopped noticing how much. Some of this genuinely isn't yours; it accumulated because you were the one who didn't put it down. The work will still get done if you hand a piece of it to someone else. That's the part that's hardest to believe here. Name one thing you can set down this week, and set it down.
Ten of Wands reversed
The load is finally going down. Delegating, delivering, or admitting something was too heavy to carry alone. It can mean collapse from carrying too much for too long, the weight finally winning. Or it's avoidance: dropping a responsibility that was actually still yours to finish. Same question as the upright card, only louder now. What can actually be set down?
Something is finally being put down, or is about to be. This can be delegation, an ending, or just the honest admission that a workload was never sustainable. Occasionally it's the worse version: dropping everything at once rather than handing it over deliberately. Either way, the weight is coming off. Try to choose how.
How this card is read
The passages above show this card on its own. In a reading, its meaning is composed again around its position and neighboring cards, so the same symbol can speak differently each time.
