The Fool upright

The Fool is the moment before the leap. Not naive about the drop, just more interested in where the wind might take you than in doing the arithmetic first. Something new is asking to begin, and it wants your trust more than your planning. Pack light; you already have what the trip requires. What looks like risk from where you're standing is often just what momentum looks like up close.

Something in you is ready to start before you have all the answers, and that's not a flaw in the plan. It might be the plan. The Fool doesn't succeed by knowing more than everyone else; it succeeds by being willing to not know yet and go anyway. If you've been waiting for certainty before you move, this is the card that says the certainty comes after, not before. Whatever you're about to start, you're more ready than the hesitation is telling you.

The Fool reversed

The leap keeps getting rehearsed and never taken. Foot at the edge, story ready, jump still not happening. Somewhere between caution and fear, hesitation became a habit dressed up as wisdom. Or the opposite showed up: a jump made with eyes shut, no sense of the ground, and now you're picking up the pieces of a start that outran its planning. Look at the edge honestly, then decide what it actually is.

The opposite problem lives here too: leaping without looking at all, mistaking recklessness for courage. There's a difference between trusting the process and ignoring every signal that this particular leap needs more thought. This isn't a card telling you to stop moving; it's asking you to actually look down before you jump this time. A little more preparation here won't kill the momentum. It'll protect it.
